Shelby
Shelby is a delicate 3 year old female Maltipoo, who weighs a mere 9 lbs. She is very petite and feminine. This sweet baby came from a hoarding situation, and is a little shy, but she is extremely loving and gentle.
Her foster ‘Mom’ informs us that she has come around quite a lot in the few short weeks she has had her, and despite her 'cloistered' beginning, is becoming more and more comfortable with people each day.
Shelby rides well in the car, all the while trying desperately to sneak on her foster’s lap. Not having had a whole lot of them in her life, she is just getting used to baths, and all the other things that dogs learn when they are puppies. She is like a kid in a candy store, and is enjoying the good life in a loving home as she learns what life as a dog should be. Her favorite resting place is perched high on the back of the couch where she can be sure she doesn’t miss a thing!
She enjoys running and playing, both with other dogs and by herself, hopping all around the backyard, seeming so happy to be out the neglectful situation she was in. She is almost completely housebroken, good in the car and walks well on a leash.
We had to clip her hair short, but she will be stunning when it grows out. We feel she will adjust very well and will be a real snuggle bug, once she is secure in a loving and predictable new home.
